At one time Lewis Knudsen of Moline was a substitute schoolteacher. That is, until he decided to change careers.
These days, his time revolves around writing and recording.Knudsen is a professional singer-songwriter, and his recording studio is in aformer church Sunday School room in Moline.
Last year, he wrote and recorded forty songs. A widevariety, including folk, jazz, and pop tunes. Some will be featured on hisfirst, professional studio album.
Lewis plays acoustic guitar, drums, piano, and is verygifted. There is some history behind one of the guitars he plays. It is thesame one his father played at home and at church about 40 years ago.
Lewis took the guitar to Germany when he performedthere on tour last summer.
Knudsen also has a multi- track recording system and hightech editing in his studio.
Years ago, he sold his basketball card collection in orderto buy some recording equipment.
Over fifteen years, the thirty year old has written 250songs.
He performs at coffee shops, restaurants, nursing homes, andalso goes on tour.
