UPDATE:  The following is a release from the Davenport Police Department: "The individual was identified as Scott Strohbehn, age 52, who was depressed over a multitude of negative things in his life and with today's eviction, had nowhere to go and attempted to intimidate the Deputy by discharging the gun.  Mr. Strohbehn was transported to Genesis Hospital for a Psych-evaluation and upon release will be charged with Intimidation – Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Reckless use of a Firearm with Property Damage."

UPDATE:  The standoff on Perry Street in Davenport is now over. Police took a male suspect into custody just before noon. The owner of the apartment house says he has been trying to evict the man, who owes back rent. The landlord says he gave the keys to the apartment to officers who tried to enter, when shots were fired.  Police are still investigating.

UPDATE: Police confirm there was a shooting at the house.

Police have surrounded a house in central Davenport. The area has been blocked off at 12th and Perry St. 11th and 13th Streets are also closed at Perry St..
