Mount Pleasant Man Found Asleep In Mobile Meth Lab, Arrested

A man was sleeping in his mobile meth lab which was more than enough for the Henry County Sheriff's department to arrest.

Around 6:41 a.m. on March 19th, police found Eric Novak, 30 of Mouth Pleasant, asleep in his car on Marsh Ave. near Highway 34. Deputies peered in and saw signs of a mobile meth lab in the vehicle.

Novak was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, a class B felony and also 2nd degree operating while intoxicated, an aggravated misdemeanor with more arrest warrants to come.

The area was quarantined for 2 hours due to the meth hazards. The Henry County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and Mount Pleasant Fire.
