Davenport Police Investigate Deadly Stabbing

As of early Monday morning, Davenport Police said they arestill investigating the events surrounding a deadly stabbing that happened overthe weekend.  

Police said they responded to a call at the parking lot ofthe Chorus Line Gentlemen's Club Saturday morning at 3:50 a.m. That's when theysaid they found 22-year-old Christian David Wood of Davenport in the parkinglot there with serious injuries.

Wood was treated on the scene then taken to Genesis EastHospital where he later died from his injuries, said Assistant Chief of PoliceDonald Schaeffer.

This isn't the first time police have been called to theChorus Line.

 In March 2013, policearrested a 25-year-old man from Rock Island for shooting a gun into a crowd ofpeople standing near the door of the club. No one was injured in the incident.

And in October 2013, police arrested two men outside theclub after a large fight broke out.

Police have not reported any arrests made in this mostrecent case.

On Monday morning TV6 called a number listed online for theChorus Line to share the owner's side to the story, but was unable to reachanyone for comment.
