UPDATE: Body Found In Keokuk Tied To Muscatine Incident

UPDATE: The body found in the Mississippi River in Keokuk has been identified. Thomas Charles Newcomb was identified by the State Medical examiner's Office in Ankeny.

Newcomb was missing and presumed dead after jumping from the Norbert Beckey Bridge in Muscatine on December 20, 2013.

Police in Keokuk, Iowa are working identify a man found in the Mississippi River on Wednesday.

On March 26, 2014 at 1:38 p.m. the Keokuk Police Department was called to Lock & Dam 19 in response to a body in the river.

Police say the body is of an unidentified male age 20 to 40-years-old between 5'4" and 5'10" and weighing 200 to 300 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Keokuk Police Department at 319-524-7704.

An autopsy will be performed by the state of Iowa Medical Examiner, located in Ankeny, Iowa.
