Jessica Elliott's dream is to become a marine biologist.

The seventh grade student loves dolphins, and that is quiteapparent when you see the colorful mural she and her mother are painting.

Jessica enjoys the ocean view, and six dolphins are featuredin the bedroom mural.

She  read a book about dolphins when she was in thirdgrade, and was hooked.

Jessica's mother Laurie works alongside her daughter. Usinga sea sponge to create a coral look. A crab, star fish, eel, and other fishalso are prominently featured in the mural.

Above the water, puffy clouds and lots of blue sky.

Three layers of rag rolling created depth in the mural.

Mother and daughter says the mural creates a serene, peaceful feeling.

The two got books from the library and did research on theinternet to make the mural look as authentic as possible.

They used about fifteen different colors of paint to createdolphin delight.

Jessica is a student at Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf.
