Parents Shocked At Hidden Cameras Found In School Restroom

Posted: Updated:

A Hayes Elementary School custodian found the three video recorders in a girls' restroom around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon. They were in two stalls at the Davenport school.

Thursday, Hayes students were sent home with a letter to notify parents of the incident. Parents picking up their children say they are shocked and disgusted. They also tell us it's hard to comprehend who would do that in a place where children go to learn.

"What if my daughter is possibly on that recording what if it is my daughter... what does the school do for us," Jessica Basden, a parent of two students.

"It's scary, kinda disturbing to find out they're in the school it makes me uneasy," said Amanda Rehkamp.

School staff searched the rest of the building as well as every other school in the district and did not find any others.  The Davenport Police Department and launched an around-the-clock investigation.

Thursday afternoon police issued three arrest warrants for 29-year old Dishon Isabel of Davenport.  Isabel has been an employee of the district for four years, working directly with students in an after school program.
