Groundbreaking For Black Hawk College Health Sciences Center

Black Hawk College recently held a groundbreaking for a new Health Sciences Center. Several programs at the college will be moving into the new 46-square-foot building.

The three story building will house eight labs, two classrooms, a 64-seat lecture hall, two conference rooms and faculty offices.

The project will cost $15 million and be paid for with 2012 bond funds. 

The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (CNA), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Health Information Management (HIM), Medical Assisting (MA), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Practical Nursing (PN) programs will be moving into the space.

The Center is expected to be completed on June 30, 2015.
