Fire At Davenport Bar & Grill

Posted: Updated:

Investigators are working to determine what started a fire at a hill top bar and grill that forced crews to shut down Harrison Street for nearly two hours.

The fire started just after 11 p.m. Saturday night at Lumpy's Bar and Grill, which was open at the time with people inside.

Firefighters say they saw smoke when they arrived, but were able to knock down the blaze, which started in the bathroom.

"There doesn't appear to be actual damage to the bar," said Dist. Chief Paul Hartman. "The bathroom suffered some pretty severe damage and there's gonna be some smoke damage at the bar," he added.

Firefighters tell us everyone was able to get out safely.
