You can turn trash into cash by simply recycling in Galesburg.

Once every month the City of Galesburg Geographic Information System Division randomly selects addresses from the residential refuse database. If a recycling bin is out with recyclables at the address that resident wins $25 in cash.

The winners for the month of April were the following addresses:  1082 East Fifth Street, 1650 Tradewinds Avenue, 136 Maple Avenue, 1028 Florence Avenue and 125 Moshier Avenue.  The City congratulates these winners.

If you have any questions about the curbside recycling program, please contact City Hall at 309/345-3614 or Waste Management at 309/343-0256.
