UPDATE: Isabel Pleads Not Guilty To Sexual Exploitation

Posted: Updated:

Update: Ian Dishon Isabel, accused of putting cameras in a girls restroom at Hayes Elementary, has pled not guilty to the charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

A pretrial conference will take place on June 18 at 10 a.m. with a jury trail set to begin on July 7 at 9 a.m.

Update: After the arrest of Ian Dishon Isabel, court records in the investigation were released offering more details on the cameras and what led investigators to Isabel. According to the affidavit, on April 2, 2014, a female custodian found what appeared to be a small electrical junction box hanging on the wall opposite of the toilets in the girls' bathroom at Hayes Elementary School.  The custodian also reported seeing a similar device in the faculty bathroom the week before, but she thought it had something to do with an automated flushing toilet and didn't report it at the time.

Then, court records say one of the three devices found in the girls' bathroom was removed and taken to the school principal's office where Isabel handled the device and commented that now it has his fingerprints on it. Later, school staff reported to police that Isabel left the building, reportedly because he was sick.

The next day, a computer forensic examiner reviewed the devices found in the bathroom, which revealed several recordings of minor girls using the toilet. The video also disclosed an unknown male placing the recording device in the girls' bathroom. The man's face cannot be scene on the video, but Isabel's identification card can be seen hanging from a lanyard around his neck. After viewing the I. D. card, the principal at Hayes identified Isabel as the man in the video.
