The Muscatine County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a teen who escaped from the Boys Training School in Eldora, Iowa over the weekend.

The Sheriff's Office says around 2:10 on Saturday afternoon, a Muscatine County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding.

They say the driver tried to elude the deputy at speeds up to 110 m.p.h.

The pursuit ended when the suspect collided with another vehicle near Oakview Drive and US 61.

The suspect fled on foot.

Officials conducted a search, but were unable to find him.

The Sheriff's Office says the vehicle was discovered to be stolen out of Johnson County.

On Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 1:16 p.m. a burglary was reported at 2798 Deer Creek Rd.,
Muscatine.

A rifle was stolen from this residence (with no ammunition), as well as a red 2007 Chevrolet Silverado truck with Iowa license plate: 015 WKA.

This vehicle is still missing.

After an investigation, the Sheriff's Office says the suspect is 15-year-old Fredlee Bateman.

Bateman is described as a black male, approximately 5'9" tall and 130 lbs. with ties to Davenport, Iowa.

Officials say he is an escapee from the Boys Training School in Eldora, Iowa.

An escape warrant was issued on April 10, 2014.

Additional charges are pending in Muscatine County.

Officials ask if you have any information about Bateman or the missing red truck to call your local law enforcement.
