A fire that destroyed a home in Galesburg, Ill., is now thought to be intentionally set.

After an initial investigation, Galesburg Police and Fire believe the fire at 472 South Academy Street was set on purpose.

The fire broke out April 8, 2014, shortly after Midnight and by the time firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed.

Crews extinguished the fire within 45 minutes.

Officials say there was no one home when they arrived at the scene.

Officials ask anyone with information about the fire or any other crimes to contact Crime Stoppers at 309-344-0044 or the Galesburg Police Department at 309-343-9151.
