Hats Off

Posted: Updated:

Jean Black says it's a tribute to the faces of her community. The photographer from Clinton has created a downtown photo gallery featuring two hundred photos.

She calls the gallery Hats Off To The Future. Most of the photos are of students in the area.

Black thinks it is important to let kids know how important they are to the community. Jean says each photo tells a story.

It could be about athletics, music, medicine. One student has a desire to be a circus clown.

Black has included her daughter in one photo. She is playing the violin. The photo is titled "Double Stopping."

The photos are located on the windows of some businesses and a vacant storefront.

Black knows several of the people who are featured in the photos.

She spent hundreds of hours taking the pictures, and hopes the gallery will be in place through  June.

Some of the photos were taken at schools. Jean took others in her studio.

Photos which express personality.

Hats Off To Jean Black!
