It's "National Playground Safety Week" and the public was invited to the dedication of a new "Boundless Playground" on Arsenal Island. It's a place where kids and adults of all abilities can play and learn together side by side.

It's the only "Boundless Playground" in the Quad Cities and it's here at the new Memorial Park playground area.

"We invite the entire Quad City community," Exceptional Family Member program manager Jan Saito said. "The only way they can get on the installation is going through one of our access gates, and all you need to do is show a photo ID and we open the playground, seven days a week from dawn to dusk.  We invite the entire Quad City community to come and join us."

"Boundless" means they have a special certification so that kids who are in wheel chairs, blind, deaf or autistic can participate.
