New Report Ranks High Schools: See How Quad Cities Ranked

Posted: Updated:

U.S. News and World Report has released its list of best high schools. The magazine lists the best high schools in the country and then breaks it down by state.

While none of our area schools made the national top 100, they did well in the state rankings. For Iowa, Bettendorf and Pleasant Valley ranked number 5 and number 11, respectively. For Illinois, all the schools compete with the Chicagoland area, so Sterling High School gets extra kudos for landing at 67.

The magazine ranked the schools based on performance on state assessments and how well they prepare their students for college. Check out the full methodology here

And you can check out your school based on the criteria, even if it didn’t make the list.
