Arbor Day Event In Rock Island - April 25

The public is invited to attend a special ceremony to be held at Noon, on Friday, April 25 at the at the Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island for National Arbor Day Celebration. The ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes and will include a special dedication by Mayor Dennis Pauley of Rock Island of the first official tree to be planted in the Center's new Children's Garden.

Also the audience will hear a special presentation on the "Million Trees" project by Ashley Stover of Living Lands and Waters. Families, students, and the general public are invited to bring a brown bag lunch for the ceremony. Admission to the Botanical Center is free to the public all day on Arbor Day. The Quad City Botanical Center is located at 2525 4th Avenue in Rock Island.
