There's been another home invasion in Sterling. The police department says they were called to a home in the 1100 block of East 16th Street around 3 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Police believe the homeowner interrupted a burglary. Police say the suspect hit the homeowner and then ran away. The homeowner's injuries are said to be minor. Police are asking the public to call 815-632-6640 if they have any information that may be helpful in the case.

Meanwhile, police continue to search for leads on a suspect in a home invasion on Sunday, April 22nd. One man, Myron D. Cureton, of Chicago turned himself into the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department. The other suspect is still at large.

At this point, they do not think the two cases are related
