"Stylin' Against Breast Cancer" In The QC

Walking the runway for a cause. It was a fashion show with a purpose at the iWireless center.

It was the "'Stylin' Against Breast Cancer" luncheon and fashion show, raising money and awareness. Models for the style show are all breast cancer survivors.

"It's important to show these success stories because breast cancer is the number two killer of women in the United States," President of the Trinity Health Foundation, Marika Jones said. "And I think it gives women that are struggling with the disease hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that you can make it through this long battle and be okay."

Seven hundred-ten people were there which was a record for attendance. One-hundred percent of the proceeds stay in the Quad Cities for programs that help survivors and their families.

Last year's event raised $42,000.
