Family Displaced After Apartment Fire In Davenport

Posted: Updated:

A family in Davenport is looking for a place to live after an apartment fire on Sunday night.

Flames broke out just before 7:00 p.m. at the Kimberly Club Apartments on Kimberly Road.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fire in the kitchen of a first floor apartment.

Officials say only one apartment was damaged by the flames, but smoke spread into the hallways and into several apartments above.

Investigators say the official cause is an accidental stove-top fire.

The family from that apartment is getting help from the American Red Cross.

Everyone else was allowed back in their apartments.
