Destination Imagination

Posted: Updated:

It's known as the “World’s Largest Celebration of Creativity.”

A team of students from Sudlow Intermediate School in Davenport will participate in global competition at Destination Imagination.

Globals will take place in Knoxville, Tennessee next month.

The students have selected an improv theatre challenge. They are given a certain amount of time to prepare and then complete the skit.

They also will perform an instant challenge. It is usually an engineering task which has to be completed in less than ten minutes.

The students say Destination Information allows them to be creative, work as a team, pay special attention to detail, and learn how to think on their feet.

Brett Monnard is the Team Manager. He says Destination Imagination teaches students how to handle the unexpected.

He adds good teams listen to each other’s ideas, and give positive feedback.

Sudlow team members are DeJuante Miller, Kate Kealey, Spencer Wakeland, Nick Vazquez, and Bobby Nikolopoulos.

Best wishes to the team from Sudlow!
