A student from the QCA is in the running to have her artwork seen by hundreds of millions of people around the world.

Amy Carlson, a 12th grader from Burlington High School in Burlington, Iowa, is one of the state winners in the Doodle For Google Contest.

According to Google, Amy's doodle, Ideatriever, depicts a device that "rounds up forgotten ideas and sends them back to you."

Her doodle was selected from the tens of thousands of entries received this year.

To check out Amy's competition and cast your vote for the Burlington teen, head to the contest webpage before May 9, 2014.

Google says the public vote will determine the five national finalists (one from each gade group).
