Security Worries About Internet Explorer

Posted: Updated:

REDMOND, Wash. (AP) - Microsoft says it's aware of "limited, targeted attacks" that have tried to exploit a security gap in Internet Explorer. The gap could allow an attacker to take complete control of a computer if the user clicks on a link to a malicious website. Microsoft is encouraging customers to enable a firewall, apply all software updates and install anti-malware software as it works on a safety fix. The Homeland Security Department also suggests using another browser.
