Semi Accident On John Deere Rd. At I-74

UPDATE: Officials say no one was injured when a semi rolled over on John Deere Road in Moline, Ill.

The incident happened around 6:45 a.m., Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014.

The vehicle was exiting onto eastbound John Deere Road from northbound I-74 when it tipped over and landed on the driver's side.

Witnesses say it slid for some distance, creating a thunderous sound.

Officials closed both eastbound lanes of John Deere Road from 16th Street to 38th Street to clear the scene.
 
Two tow trucks were needed to upright and remove semi.
 
According to officials, no other vehicles involved and there were no injuries.
 
They don't believe wind was a factor.
 
The incident remains under investigation.

John Deere Road was reopened to traffic around 8:30 a.m.

ORIGINAL: Eye witnesses say traffic is backed up at I-74 and John Deere Road in Moline, Ill. due to a semi which has rolled over.

The semi appears to be blocking both eastbound lanes at the on ramp from northbound I-74.

A TV6 crew is on the way.
