UnityPoint Health - Trinity announced there will be some parking challenges as construction ramps up for the new Heart Center/Emergency Department project at the Rock Island campus.

New parking procedures go into effect from May 1 through the summer. In order to offset the temporary loss of 150 parking spaces, Trinity will implement the following changes during this construction phase:

All parking spaces in front of the hospital will be reserved for visitors. All employees who work first-shift Monday through Friday at the Rock Island campus will park at off-site lots in order to free up the space. Other shifts will also use designated areas away from the front of the building as well.

A golf cart shuttle will circulate the front parking lot from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday to provide visitors a lift to the door if they desire.

Trinity continues to offer free valet services at its main entrance on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Simply pull up to the front door and a valet attendant will park your car for you in a designated area.

Trinity broke ground on the 90,000 square-foot expansion in June 2013. Located at the front of the hospital, the $61.3 million construction expansion is designed to improve patient safety and privacy, better coordinate care, reduce operational costs and accommodate increased demand for patients in crisis.
