If you want to leave the driving to someone else on weekends this summer, hop on The Loop. The bus is back in service for the season. It runs Fridays and Saturdays evening from 6p.m. To 3a.m. through October.
The loop makes several stops in the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities. Each ride is $1 or $3 dollars for an all-day pass. This is the last season The Loop is running off grant funding. Officials are working to find other options to keep the service going after that.
"If ridership numbers continue to increase like they have been every year, that will be a wonderful thing. It will let some of our decision makers know about the popularity of it," said Michelle Javornik, Deputy Public Works Director for Bettendorf.
