The warming spring temperatures mean it'll soon be time to get your annual plants in the ground.

Once again this year, you can beautify your yard and help out a good cause.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting its 24th Plant Sale in Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa.

The annual event kicked off over the weekend and runs through next weekend.

All money raised goes towards the mentoring program, which pairs up area adults with kids who benefit from a positive influence.

Kayla Kiesey, Director of Events says this sale is the organization's biggest fundraiser, raising up to $50,000 a year.

"The plant sale is very unique to this community. It's something that we're very proud of because we have such a wide selection for people to choose from. It's something that people need for their home, their business."

The sale ends on May 11, 2014.
