The Epic Iowa Road Trip made a stop at the World Largest Truck Stop in Walcott.

It's just one of 60 tourist locations they'll visit on a more than two thousand mile trip across the state.

It's one of the ways Iowa officials are promoting great tourist spots that aren't far from home.

"You don't have to go a long ways in Iowa," Iowa Tourism office manager Shawna Lode said. "You can get out to that state park, you can visit that restaurant you've always been curious about, you don't have to have a lot of time. You don't have to have a lot of money but at the end of your trip you're going to have a great memory with your family that will last a lifetime."

In 2012, tourists spent almost $600-million in Scott County.
