Three teens are accused of terrorizing drivers along Interstate 88 in Lee County, Illinois.

In the early morning of May 4, 2014, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received reports of a group on the Brooklyn Rd. overpass shining a bright light into the eyes of drivers on the interstate below. Later, officers determined that the suspects also threw items and shot a bb gun at travelers.

When deputies caught up with them, the suspects had crashed a car into a ditch. One of them had to be taken to the hospital with a head injury.

The juveniles are charged with attempted vehicle endangerment. The driver of the car is also facing several traffic violations, including leaving the scene of an accident and no valid driver's license.

The teens were released to their parents.
