It was a great day to be a golfer in the Quad Cities and support Junior Achievement.

More than 200 people took part in the Jim Victor Junior Achievement Golf Classic at Davenport Country Club and TPC in Silvis.

The money helps J.A. programs that teach kids about finance and business for their future careers.

"You get these folks out here it's a beautiful day they get to have some fun but they also get to share with each other what they've learned about junior achievement and get to see what we are doing and understand a little bit more about it," Junior Achievement of the Heartland President Barbara VenHorst.

They to hope to raise 80-thousand dollars for student programs.
