Rising water levels are affecting some roads and bike trails in the Illinois Quad Cities. Starting Friday, 18th Avenue in Rock Island will close at Potter's lake next to Sunset park. Also, the Great River Trail bike path will also close at the Moline border. Officials warn that several discharge hoses have been placed across the Rock Island portion of the bike path, so officials say those on the trail should be careful crossing the hoses.

While flooding is expected to be minor, the river is above flood stage. At lock and dam 15 in Rock Island the river was nearly a foot over flood stage Friday. It's projected to crest on Monday a foot-and-a-half above flood stage, so water will be out of its banks in low-lying areas.
