JOB OPENING: Broadcast Maintenance Engineer for Engineering Department

JOB DESCRIPTION: KWQC TV6, the top rated NBC affiliate in the Quad Cities, community of license Davenport, IA, is accepting applications for a full time Broadcast Maintenance Engineer position with potential for advancement.

Candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of the television studio and transmitter facilities, including broadcast, communications, IT, building mechanical, and HVAC systems. In addition to broad electronic maintenance experience the candidate should possess a strong proficiency with computers; including broad knowledge of operating systems, networking, and software applications, along with exceptional IT troubleshooting skills.

The ideal candidate should be dependable, well organized, be able to multi-task, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work calmly under pressure, and meet deadlines. Must be available for on-call status as needed, be able to lift at least 50 lbs., and possess a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s Degree or relevant work experience.
