Posted: Updated:

A high school student in Burlington is one of five national finalists in Google's Seventh Annual 'Doodle 4 Google' competition.

Amy Carlson, a senior at Burlington High School, was Iowa's State winner in April. Her doodle "idea-triever" represents a device that rounds up forgotten ideas and sends them back to you.

Amy's design was chosen from more than 100,000 entries. She'll receive a $5,000 college scholarship.

The national winner, a student from Levittown, New York, will see her doodle featured on Google's home page June 9th.
