Weekend Meteor Shower; Boon Or Bust?

Posted: Updated:
You may want to stay up late Friday night or get up early Saturday morning to watch the sky. NASA is expecting a never-before-seen meteor shower on May 23-24 and it should be seen across North America.
Forecasters say it could rival the Perseid meteor shower or it could fizzle. Scientists aren't sure. KWQC Meteorologist Kevin Phelps says the Comet 209P/LINEAR was just recently discovered and this is only its second pass. The debris field has the potential for greatness, but no one knows for certain.
If it does show up, the meteor shower is expected to peak after midnight, Saturday, between 1 - 3 a.m.
