POLK COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

A total of 98 people were arrested as part of an undercover prostitution investigation in Polk County targeting human trafficking suspects.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says the four-day investigation targeted websites where suspects were advertising prostitution and were soliciting others for prostitution.

Among those arrested is 44-year-old Michael Johnson, a former Orlando Police officer, who allegedly attempted to recruit the undercover officer to engage in prostitution with clients he would locate for a profit; A Cape Coral woman, 30-year-old Amber Gonzalez, allegedly brought a 15-year-old girl from Miami to have sex as a couple with an undercover male officer; and 31-year-old Jamohn Mack of Orlando allegedly solicited his wife 34-year-old Magaret Obasi for sex to an undercover detective for profit.

"We have found a direct nexus between prostitution and human trafficking – forcing a juvenile to commit lewd acts with adult men for financial gain is something we will not tolerate," Sheriff Judd said.

Charges range from Offering to Commit Lewdness in which the suspects either posted online ads, or answered online ads; to Aiding and Abetting Prostitution; Deriving Proceeds from Prostitution; Possession of Illegal Drugs; Child Abuse by Neglect; Felony Battery; Resisting; Traffic Offenses; and Violation of Probation.
