He is a brilliant singer. Vincent Briley is a tenor who hits all the right notes.

A classical singer from the Quad Cities who has performed locally and nationally.

Recently, he treated an audience to a small recital at the Figge Art Museum.

He called it “Let Life Be Like Music.”

Vincent sings acapella, and “Ave Maria,”  “Steal Away,”  and “The Lord’s Prayer” are some of the songs he sang at the recital.

He grew up playing the violin. In Ohio, he was a member of the Columbus BoyChoir.  Later, he sang professionally at Opera Columbus.

His resume reads like a Who’s Who!

Briley says some of the best advice he ever got came from Iowa’s own international opera sensation, Simon Estes.

Estes talked to Briley about being able to perform in small spaces to small audiences. Emphasizing how important it is to connect with the audience.

Singing requires a tremendous amount of mental preparation. Briley writes the words, and goes over and over them in his head.

Audiences call him a treasure. A performer who really makes singing special.

A guy who sings from the heart!

Soon Vincent will take his musical talent back to Ohio, joining his wife Tanisha who works in Cleveland Heights.

Without a doubt, he leaves behind a wonderful reputation among local, classical music fans.
