King's Harvest To Open "No Kill" Shelter

Posted: Updated:

King's Harvest pet rescue is hoping to expand its services by opening a "no kill shelter" for cats and dogs in Davenport.

The organization says it received a donation and has purchased a building on West Central Park in Davenport.

The pet ministry was formed to help the poor and homeless with their pets.

"We are finding a huge need right now. We only house cats," assistant director Margot Hary said. "We are full. We can't take one more cat. We have 26 kittens with us."

The new pet rescue is 6,000 square feet and will also be able to house dogs once it's finished.

King's Harvest is now looking for shelter volunteers to help.
