It is a long-time local festival, but organizers say this weekend's Blue Grass Days could be the last.

With  a parade, carnival and live music today, the tradition of Blue Grass Days continues.

What started in 1946 as a way to welcome local veterans home, the festival still holds true to its roots, but organizers say they need more volunteers to keep it  going.

"Without volunteers, this wouldn't happen," volunteer Randy Lorenz said. "We need people to have their input, take a small part of Blue Grass Days and help us with it."

The Blue Grass Community Club sponsors the festival every year.
