It new. Different.

It is coming to Davenport on June 21st.

Players call it a great marriage of two sports.

A marriage made at the golf course.

Red Hawk Golf Course will trot out Footgolf next weekend.

It is a combination of soccer and golf.

Players do not use golf clubs. Instead, simply a soccer ball and a steady foot.

Saint Ambrose University Soccer Coach Jon Mannall says the game requires the technique of soccer and the tactics of being on a golf course.

The longest hole on the course is about 240 yards. The cup is twenty one inches in diameter. The rules are basically the same as golf.

The first shot is played from a tee box. Water also comes into play on the course.

People in Europe started playing the game a few years ago and it is gaining in popularity in the United States.

Footgolf is also less expensive in terms of equipment. All you need is a soccer ball.

A strong leg and a nice touch from the fairway make the game very enjoyable for many people.

Get your kicks! Perhaps Footgolf is here to stay.
