Two Arrested For Meth In Savanna, IL

Posted: Updated:
Two people from Savanna, Ill. have been arrested and charged with making meth.

Around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, Carroll County and Savanna Police searched the home in the 1,000 block of Chicago Street in Savanna.

Officers arrested 49-year-old Charles Grasty and 22-year-old Tiffany Knautz.

They are charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of the Cannabis Control Act.

Officials say the participation in meth manufacturing charge was increased to "aggravated" because Knautz is pregnant, and police say she was living in the home where meth was being made.

Both suspects were taken to the Carroll County Jail to await their initial court appearance.
