The City of Rock Island plans to close its new transient boat docks at Schwiebert Riverfront Park because of a problem with the bolts.
In a news release, the city says on Tuesday, Park and Recreation Department officials found bolts that had failed, which could cause a safety issue for users.

As a result, the docks will be closed to the public on Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19 so the bolts can be replaced. The dock is expected to re-open for boaters on Friday, June 20.
