A social service agency in the Quad Cities announced Wednesday it will partner with a similar organization in Iowa. Family Resources, Inc. says it has agreed to affiliate with Four Oaks. In a news release, Family Resources says the two are leading agencies in children and family services and the affiliation with benefit the families they serve.

The affiliation, which they say is not a merger, will officially begin July, 2014 and happen in stages over the next year. The two agencies will keep separate 501c3 (non-profit) status and will continue to develop relationships with their respective communities.

Four Oaks has offices located in 15 cities in East-Central/Central Iowa and Family Resources has offices in six cities in Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois.
