Child Hit By SUV; Rock Island Police Search For Driver

 A two year old is out of the hospital after being seriously hurt in a hit and run accident and now, Rock Island police are asking for help in finding the driver.

It happened on June 22, 2014 around 3:51 p.m. in the area of 25th St. and 11th or 10th Avenues. Police say the toddler was struck by a small, dark gray or black SUV. The suspect vehicle was last seen headed northbound on 25th street after the child was hit.  

The toddler was taken to a local hospital and transferred to a hospital in Peoria, but has since been released.
