Leading Edge is proud to announce Jimmy Johnson will be hosting a segment on sun protection. This topic is of the utmost importance, especially being that more than two million people each year in the United States alone are diagnosed with skin cancer.
Skin cancer can affect anyone of any age, and when outside in the sun without any protection, your chances of developing skin cancer are greatly increased. Fortunately, though, there are many forms of sun protection, with the most effective form being sunscreen.
It doesn't matter the time of year or the temperature outside, protecting yourself from the sun's harmful UV rays is imperative. However, the higher the temperature, the more vital it is to carry out an assortment of sun protection tips, including wearing sunscreen, covering the skin with loose clothing and more.
Estimates show that 20 percent of people living in America will at one time or another develop skin cancer during the course of their lifetimes. This startling statistic makes for a great reason to tune into the Leading Edge and listen to the helpful information that's going to be discussed by Jimmy Johnson.
