UPDATE

The East Moline Police Department has arrested two men in connection to a June 30 armed robbery at the 7-Eleven at 1027 18th Avenue.

Willie J. Johnson Jr., 56 of Hampton IL, and Kane Langdon, 18 of Hampton, IL, were charged with Armed Robbery.

A Hampton Police officer on patrol identified a silver sedan that matched released surveillance photos. He notified East Moline and after further investigation the department executed a search warrant.

Johnson and Langdon are each being held is held on $500,000 bond.

Police in East Moline, Ill. are on the lookout for two suspects they say were involved in an armed robbery early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the 7-Eleven convenient story located at 1027 18th Ave., around 1:29 a.m..

They say a light colored 4 door sedan, possibly a silver Mercury Sable or similar vehicle pulled up to the gas pumps.

The driver went into the store and prepaid cash for gas.

When he returned to the gas pumps, the back seat passenger got out and went into the store, armed with a gun.

According to police, the suspect demanded cash and Newport cigarettes from the clerk.

After the clerk gave the suspect cash and a few packs of cigarettes, he fled on foot from the store to the north.

The vehicle then drove away to the south.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.

The driver of the car is described as a black male, 5'07" to 5'9", wearing an orange shirt, dark jeans and a Chicago Bulls hat.

The man with the gun is described as a white male, 5'05" to 5'06", wearing a black hoodie, black pants and red bandana.
