There are hundreds of volunteers at the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill., and some of them are very loyal.

This year is Diane Lowe's 40th anniversary volunteering as a standard bearer, along with 140 others.

They walk with the players and scorekeepers with a sign, playing a very vital role in keeping spectators updated on how the players are doing.

Diane knows the importance of it, which is what keeps her coming back year after year.

"I'm really proud of 40 years of consecutive service and i love my team," she said. "I've been in the same department every year since I've started. Sunday when the last put drops and we see the champion and all our charity dollars will be distributed and we'll pack up and start planning for next year."

Diane calls her fellow standard bearers her family, and actually, part of that family is our own KWQC Sharon Derycke. She has been volunteering for several years.

It's them and all the volunteers at John Deere Classic that help pull off such a great event.
