 Officials with RAGBRAI say a cyclist has died on this year's trek across Iowa . According

to the RAGBRAI website, a 63-year-old man died while riding on Monday, July 21, 2014.

RAGBRAI Medical Director Bob Libby says the man died due to a medical condition and not a traumatic injury.

The exact cause of death has not been reported.

According to Libby, the incident happened near Graettinger, Iowa.

He says a highly trained paramedic on a motorcycle was first to respond on the scene, followed by an ambulance staffed by a a nurse, paramedic and physician.

The patient was taken to Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, Iowa where he later died.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
