Sherrard Man Hurt In Motorcycle Crash In Milan

It was a dangerous day on the road for motorcycles Sunday, with two separate crashes involving injuries in the Quad City area.

In Milan, a Sherrard man riding a Harley crashed in the 8100 block of Knoxville Road around 9:30 a.m., July 27, 2014. The 52-year-old man was thrown from the motorcycle and taken to the hospital. His name has not been released.

Also on Sunday, a man from Muscatine crashed his motorcycle in Jo Daviess County. 60-year-old Timothy Riley was on South Blackjack Road near Hanover, Ill. when he missed a sharp turn, veered off the road and crashed into a ditch. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
