QUAD CITIES, Iowa (KWQC) - Get ready for some decidedly Autumn-like changes in the weather picture. A frontal system sweeping through the region will not only produce some rain, but will also usher in some unseasonably cooler air. Look for showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon, expected to be non-severe in nature. Highs should reach the middle 70′s to near 80 degrees. We’ll see a chance for showers and storms continue this evening, with another chance for showers again Monday. Next up--clearing skies Monday night, and a string of mostly sunny days (and readings in the 70′s) through the rest of the week. Expect highs warming back into the 80′s by Friday.

TODAY: Partly cloudy and a little cooler. A chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High: 79°. Wind: NW 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms through this evening. Low: 62°. Wind: NW 5-10 mph.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy and cool with a chance for scattered showers. High: 75°.
