Rock Island man identified as victim in fatal motorcycle crash

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Police have identified a man who died Wednesday afternoon in a car versus motorcycle crash in Davenport.

The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Steven Lamb, of Rock Island.

Davenport police, fire, and Medic EMS responded around 3:40 p.m. to a serious crash at the intersection of Harrison Street and Columbia Avenue.

Police determined a Chevrolet passenger car was driving south on Harrison Street in the second lane from the west. The car made an abrupt lane change into the westernmost lane and hit a southbound motorcycle, according to a media release.

The motorcycle driver, Lamb, lost control and he became separated from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries, according to the release.
